HELENA REDDINGTON completed her undergraduate studies at Mount Holyoke College, where she doubled majored in Religion and German Studies, and has recently completed her master’s dissertation at the School of Oriental and African Studies in the department of the His- tory of Art and Archeology. Her research interests center on modern Hinduism, and in particular, the place of the modern Indian temple in the homeland and in the diaspora. She draws on a religious studies as well as an art history background in order to better understand the form and function of these temples.
